SACRED WATERWAY
The Jayavarman is named after the 12th-century King of Angkor. Apt for a regal cruiser with such a revered and stately presence on the great Mekong River.
The Jayavarman has an elegant design inspired by both 1930s France and Indochina. Plying the Mekong River between My Tho and Siem Reap, it’s a beautiful base from which to immerse yourself in the charms of this sacred waterway.
Facilities include a 1930’s style bar and a classy dining hall where delicious regional food is served. The sun deck has a Jacuzzi and is a great spot to practise Tai Chi and admire the passing landscapes. The Henry Mouhot lounge, named after the French archaeologist, is warm and welcoming with its dark wood furnishings, rose-coloured walls and stunning Khmer artefacts.
Guests are accommodated in 27 elegantly appointed cabins, each with private balconies from where you can watch beautiful river sunsets. Interiors are Art Deco with a far eastern flair featuring intricate woodcarvings and Vietnamese lacquer paintings. When you’re not relaxing in your cabin, you can head to the spa at the front of the ship where an array of treatments is available. As you journey, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of tailored activities, including exploring local villages.
