NORTHERN THAILAND, LAOS & CAMBODIA

Sail the Mekong, wander ancient cities, and uncover the vibrant traditions and historic wonders of Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia.
GROUP ESCORTED TOUR

ABOUT THE TOUR

Our captivating tour journeys through Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, encompassing some of the most fascinating parts of each country and exploring their historic and cultural heritage.

Beginning in Chiang Rai in northern Thailand with its ancient temples, we set sail across the Thai / Lao border on a two-day cruise in a traditional river boat along an enchanting stretch of the Mekong River. We pass through the breath-taking scenery of Laos, a land of mountains, rapids, gorges, jungle, un-spoiled riverside villages and sacred caves filled with Buddhas. We arrive at Luang Prabang the former capital and the jewel of Laos with its dazzling wood-carved monasteries and French colonial architecture. We spend a couple of days exploring this enchanting sleepy city and discovering its ancient Buddhist traditions.

We then fly to Cambodia arriving in Siem Reap for a highlight of our tour and Asia’s most magnificent archaeological remains – the Khmer Temples of Angkor – a great complex of Hindu and Buddhist temples built between the 7th and 11th centuries.

Our final stop is Phnom Penh, once considered the Pearl of South-East Asia and one of the most beautiful cities in the Orient. Despite its recent turbulent history, it still retains an eccentric colonial charm with Khmer Royal buildings sitting alongside French villas.

“FAULTLESS AND FUN”
We’ve just returned from a Danube cruise with Douglas Skeggs and Joanna Worsley, with a few days in Vienna beforehand – all brilliantly overseen by Emily. From meet and greet at the airport to every detail on board the Amadeus Cara, the organisation was seamless. We’re already looking forward to our next Escorted Tour with ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV.

“WONDERFUL TREK IN NEPAL AND VISIT TO TIGER RESERVE”
From our very first phone call, ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV provided excellent service. We shared our ideas and they came back with a proposal that included everything we wanted – then improved it with thoughtful suggestions. We were especially impressed that our tailor-made holiday was competitively priced. Once on the ground, everything ran smoothly. We were met at each airport, stayed in fantastic hotels, and had a brilliant guide for our trek. A truly enjoyable and well-managed trip from start to finish.

“EVERY TRIP EXCELLENT – AND MORE TO COME”
I’ve been on several small group holidays with ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV and every one has been outstanding. My most recent trip in February was no exception – expertly organised, responsive to questions, and full of memorable experiences. The itineraries are well thought out, the hotels top-notch, and the group sizes just right. Their tour leaders are knowledgeable, supportive and great company. I haven’t looked elsewhere since discovering Ultimate – and I’m already planning my next.
