QUIRKY BOUTIQUE HOTEL

L’oscar instantly catches the eye with its lavishly-furnished guestrooms, velvet and leather-coated interiors and seven-storey chandelier. An incredible transformation from what was originally a Baptist church in the early 1900s.

The sumptuous interiors of this Grade II-listed building – imagined by interior designer Jacques Garcia – are elegantly eccentric with tassels, velvet pillows and bird motifs interspersed with original stain-glassed windows, marble fireplaces and oak-panelled walls. Bedrooms and suites are spectacularly set in deep golds, reds and purples, and feature plush feather beds, chaise longues, deep soaking tubs and marble bathrooms.

The centrepiece of the hotel is undoubtedly its restaurant, dramatically located in the former chapel and spread across several stories. Helmed by renowned London chef Tony Fleming, the Baptist Grill serves an exciting and inventive menu showcasing the very best of seasonal British ingredients. Equally alluring is the ground floor Café L’oscar, inspired by the elegance of a Parisian cafe with its illuminated onyx bar, mirror-lined ceilings, gilded panels and original artwork.

“IN SAFE HANDS, EVEN WHEN PLANS CHANGE”
Every detail of our Patagonia tour was expertly arranged – from transfers and flights to the choice of hotels. When our onward flight to the Falklands was delayed by two days, ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV stepped in immediately and secured a hotel for us. It was an enormous relief, especially as we don’t speak Spanish and had no idea what to do next. That level of thoughtful, responsive service stayed with us – it turned a potential travel hiccup into a lasting positive memory.

“TRIP TO THE TOP OF THE WORLD”
Everything about our trip was excellent. While it’s a considered investment, the service more than justifies the cost. We loved the accommodation – beautifully chosen and thoughtfully located. Our guides ranged from grear to truly exceptional. And the places we visited? They exceeded all expectations. Peru is an extraordinarily beautiful country, and this journey gave us a real sense of its wonder.

“MONGOLIA STOLE MY HEART – A JOURNEY I’ll NEVER FORGET”
It was one of the best trips of my life. The itinerary you crafted for us was absolutely perfect; I wouldn’t have changed a thing. What made it even more special was the incredible team who looked after us. Edda was fantastic, and the two drivers we had for the Orkhon Valley and Gobi sections of the trip were possibly the best I’ve ever had.
