ESTANCIA LA MAIPU OFFERS AN ENTICING ESCAPE

Go off-grid at Estancia La Maipu, a remote outpost in Argentine Patagonia with access to an extensive network of riding and hiking trails.

Two hours from the nearest paved road, Estancia La Maipu offers an enticing escape – well worth the four-hour drive from El Calafate Airport. Stretching along the deep waters of San Martin Lake to the towering peaks of the Andes Mountain range, the surrounding estancia – roamed by guanacos, horses, sheep and the occasional puma – is a joy to explore.

Guests are invited to explore this remote wilderness via an extensive network of trails that range from easy day hikes to more challenging multi-day circuits. Camping expeditions can also be arranged, in addition to bird watching, fishing and horse riding excursions deep into the Cordillera de los Andes.

Earthy and homespun, the lodge itself comprises just six cosy rooms, with common areas for admiring the scenic lake views. The chef at Estancia La Maipu often cooks up delicious meals over an open fire, slow-roasting large spits of meat ready to greet guests back from their bracing explorations. Don’t miss a visit to the small onsite museum for a glimpse into the region’s fascinating history.

“IN SAFE HANDS, EVEN WHEN PLANS CHANGE”
Every detail of our Patagonia tour was expertly arranged – from transfers and flights to the choice of hotels. When our onward flight to the Falklands was delayed by two days, ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV stepped in immediately and secured a hotel for us. It was an enormous relief, especially as we don’t speak Spanish and had no idea what to do next. That level of thoughtful, responsive service stayed with us – it turned a potential travel hiccup into a lasting positive memory.

“SERVICE THAT GOES THE EXTRA MILE”

The service we received from ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉúTV was second to none. Tania took the time to understand exactly what we wanted and helped us explore every option clearly and thoroughly. Her first-hand knowledge of Kenya and safaris made a real difference – she explained everything brilliantly. The thoughtful extras, like the travel wallet and documents, were such a lovely touch – especially for someone who loves to travel well-organised! Thank you so much. We’ll definitely be back for future adventures.

“FLAWLESS, AGAIN”
This is the third time I’ve used TUTC. The service, as before, was flawless. Aside from putting in place all the major details of a complex trip to Japan, Dan at TUTC nailed every detail: train tickets were for seats with large luggage space (very important in Japan, as we discovered); a mobile internet wifi was included; together with a pre-charged use-pretty-much-anywhere travel card (again, important – Japan has multiple transport companies). For any kind of complex trip I won’t go anywhere else.
