Named after Victorian explorer and painter Thomas Baines, Sanctuary Baine’s Camp enjoys picturesque surrounds on a private concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve.
Built from wood and recycled tin cans, this eco-conscious property sits on raised platforms high above the papyrus-lined Boro River. The main area features an expansive veranda for al fresco dining (with views over a hippo-filled lagoon) and a swimming pool with two thatched salas on either side – the perfect retreat on a sultry afternoon. The six suites come with romantic star baths and four-poster beds that can be easily rolled out onto your veranda for a night under the stars.
From adventurous game drives to enchanting canoe trips on the delta’s watery channels, guests are treated to a variety of classic Okavango experiences. As a result of being on a private concession, Sanctuary Baine’s is also able to offer exciting walking safaris and night drives.
